In a significant move, the Godrej family has unveiled plans for a strategic split of its conglomerate, heralding the emergence of two distinct entities: Godrej Enterprises and Godrej Industries. This restructuring initiative, based upon regulatory approvals, aims to streamline operations while preserving the prestigious Godrej brand identity.

Leading the charge at Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) is Jamshyd Godrej, a seasoned industry stalwart with a rich legacy at the helm of Godrej & Boyce. Assuming the dual roles of Chairperson and Managing Director, Jamshyd Godrej brings a wealth of experience to GEG’s diverse portfolio, encompassing aerospace, aviation, defense, and liquid engines. Joining him in leadership is Nyrika Holkar, appointed as Executive Director, marking a strategic move to infuse fresh perspectives into the group’s endeavors.

Concurrently, Godrej Industries Group (GIG) will be chaired by Nadir Godrej, supported by his brother Adi Godrej and their immediate family. Nadir Godrej will oversee a portfolio of listed companies including Godrej Industries, Godrej Consumer Products, Godrej Properties, Godrej Agrovet, and Astec Lifesciences. Anticipating a seamless transition, the baton of leadership at GIG is slated to pass to Pirojsha Godrej, son of Adi Godrej, in August 2026, marking a generational shift in the family’s corporate governance.
