RCB to have Virat Kohli back as captain?

Faff Du Plessis may bid goodbye to captaincy

Kohli has captained the side from 2013 to 2021

For all you Virat Kohli fans, here’s some good news! If reports are to be believed, he is all set to get back the reins of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team once again!

Rumours are that Faff Du Plessis is relinquishing captaincy. And if the RCB management countenances it, it will reconsider Kohli for elevation. Kohli started captaining the team way back in 2013 and has phenomenal experience of leading the franchise.

He knows the strengths and weaknesses of the players in and out. This is precisely the reason why the management wants him back at the helm of affairs. However, even though he has skippered the team for a considerable time, he has not won the title even once! This perhaps made the management ask him to step down in 2021.

2008 to 2023! The affair goes on!

Since he started playing for IPL, Kohli has played for RCB only. That means, since 2008, he has represented the franchise 17 times.

But the lamentation of not winning a trophy even once weighs really heavily!

Perhaps, this season will be a welcome change!
