The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai is set to revolutionize overnight travel with the upcoming launch of the sleeper version of the Vande Bharat train. Designed to enhance passenger comfort and safety, this new addition boasts a range of state-of-the-art features.

With a capacity to accommodate up to 820 passengers across 16 fully air-conditioned coaches, the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train aims to redefine the travel experience on long routes covering distances between 800 km and 1,200 km. The train is designed for efficiency, reaching a top speed of 160 kilometers per hour, which will significantly reduce travel times.
Among its standout features are sensor-activated doors that open with a simple touch, ensuring smooth entry and exit for passengers. Hygiene is a priority with touch-free bio-vacuum toilets, allowing for convenient restroom access without physical contact. The train also includes interconnecting doors for easy access between coaches.
For enhanced communication, the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is equipped with talk-back units that connect passengers with train attendants. First-class compartments feature flight-style attendant buttons, granting easy access to upper berths. With these innovative amenities, the Vande Bharat Sleeper is poised to offer a luxurious and comfortable travel experience for passengers.
