If hydration levels plummet, the consequences can be disastrous. So let’s see how to keep ourselves healthy.

  1. The first thing a person should do in the mornings is to drink at least a glass of water. This helps in metabolism and gives us an energy boost.
  2. Drinking a glass of water just before a meal helps in digestion.
  3. It’s imperative we include a lot of fibre in our diet. At the same time, it is also important we eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Also, do not forget to include green leafy vegetables. They go a long way in helping the body retain its hydration levels.
  4. Interestingly, the colour of our urine also goes a long way in telling us whether our water levels are low. Light-coloured urine is fine. Dark-coloured urine is a sign of dehydration.
  5. It is always better to reduce chats and oily items during summer.
  6. Avoid walking in the hot sun, for it may burn the skin badly. Early morning or late evening walks help in mitigating the consequences of hot sun.
