Poachers will release on Prime Video on February 23rd

Poachers, which has been produced by Eternal Sunshines Production, whose director is Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, will release on Amazon Prime Video on February 23rd. The web series will be directed by Richie Mehta who won an Emmy for Delhi Crime. “Every story has a hero and when you get to meet the ones who may not wear a cape and yet are fighting against crime and injustice, you are inspired to tell their story to the world. Poacher is my tribute to wildlife crime fighters – the dedicated forest service officers, fervent members of wildlife conservation and protection organisations, animal lovers — people who are risking their lives to prevent endangering the animal species due to the personal greed of poachers,” Richie Mehta’s statement regarding the series mentioned. 

This would be the first occasion wherein a show financed by the production will not be starring Alia Bhatt. Alia Bhatt threw light on the process she follows in order to make the commitment for acting in a film in an interview with Pinkvilla. “Do you fit the part? That’s the most important question. I don’t think I fit every part, you know, so sometimes…and I’m working on a lot of stuff right now, which I’m not acting in. In fact, I see other mainstream actresses as well while we are creating them. I’m like, ‘Oh, this will be great for this one’…or actors. So, something that very naturally happens. Even when I am in a film, I don’t look at it only from my character’s point of view. So how is everybody sitting in this? So yeah, are you right for the part,” she said.
