The murder of a 4-year-old boy allegedly by his own mother Suchana Seth at a Goa hotel has sent shock waves across the country. 

While her custody continues, here’s an interesting story that reveals how she was caught. 

As Suchana got out of the hotel and boarded a cab to Bengaluru, the hotel staff began suspecting her as her room was full of bloodstains. They informed the police. Immediately, the police got in touch with the cabbie and began speaking to him in Konkani, under the assumption that Suchana did not understand it. The cabbie, on his part, played his part dexterously and followed the instructions meticulously. As per the instructions given to him, he drove the cab to the nearest police station. 

The police checked the suitcase of Suchana and were horrified to see the body of the boy. Immediately, she was arrested. 

Investigations are on

Suchana was going through turbulent times as he had a strained relationship with her husband. The two were fighting a divorce case and her husband used to contact the son via videoconferencing. 

It is suspected that after smothering her son with a towel or pillow, she too attempted an unsuccessful suicide.
