Uddhav donated Rs 1 crore for the construction of the temple

I have parted ways with the BJP, not with Hindutva: Uddhav

Ram Lalla is mine too: Uddhav

The political contestations over the Ram Temple are becoming more intense with the date of the inauguration coming closer with each day. Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackery of the Shiv Sena Party had visited Ayodhya in March 2020 and donated Rs 1 crore for the construction of the temple. “I have parted ways with the BJP, not with Hindutva. The BJP is not Hindutva. Hindutva is a different thing and I have not parted ways with it,” he had said during his visit.

A controversy has emerged owing to Uddhav Thackery reportedly not having received an invite for the event. This comes amidst other opposition leaders such as Sonia Gandhi also having received an invite. Uddhav’s cousin Raj Thackery who is the chief of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has also received an invite. Ram Lalla is mine too. I can go anytime I wish. I can go now, I can go tomorrow. When I became the chief minister, I went to Ayodhya. I visited Ayodhya before that also. Yes, I have not received any invitation and I don’t need one. I just have one request that this event should not be made a political one,” Uddhav said.
