Animal directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga has polarised audiences through its content. This polarisation has also seeped into the film industry. There are artists who are voicing their dissatisfaction with what they had seen on the screen. However, there are others who are characterising the film as having broken barriers and being brave.

Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar has spoken in favour of the film. She has now talked about which character from the film she would have ideally liked to play in an interview with Zoom. “I love Sandeep Reddy Vanga. See, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri’s character are really interesting roles. But I loved Rashmika’s character because, in this whole world where men were fighting each other, she really stood her ground. She really confronted a man. She held him accountable. She said I don’t care about who you are, what you are doing outside, and how dangerous you might be. But you’re my husband, and I will hold you accountable. Her character had an arch. I felt that was such a good opportunity, and she did a great job. So, that’s a role I would have loved to do,” she said.
