    Randeep played Saju in Extraction

I got a lot of appreciation internationally: Randeep

I was given the opportunity to have a brawl with Thor: Randeep

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda’s directorial Swatantrya Veer Savarkar hasn’t performed well in the box office. In a recent podcast on the BeerBiceps channel with Ranveer Allahabadia, Randeep opened up about his disappointment for the lack of support for his film. “Even after having my horses, I had to sell the properties that my father bought for me with his hard-earned money for this film. The support that this type of film should have got, it didn’t get that from anyone. I did get support from the people who invested in the film with me, my crew, and the cast, but we didn’t get any other help. So I kept on going alone. I don’t know why we didn’t get that support. But I don’t want to go back to the struggles I faced while making this film. Only my family, my wife, and I know what all we went through,” Randeep said.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Randeep spoke about the minimal traction he received for his role as Saju in Extraction. “Nothing happened in India. No one even talked about it in India, except a few media persons. That role turned out to be great. I got a lot of appreciation internationally. Everyone asked, ‘Who is this actor?’ They also saw a lot of my past films. I wanted to play a disruptor in Extraction since I had the choice. If you go out of the country and look at India from their perspective – and we have to thank Gandhiji for it – that we aren’t considered physically strong. We’re given the roles of taxi drivers, 7-Eleven clerks, doctors, technicians. So when I was given the opportunity to have a brawl with Thor, then I consciously took it up,” Randeep mentioned.
