Bengaluru is expected to witness widespread rainfall over the next three days as per the latest forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The prediction suggests that the city is likely to experience moderate to heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms.

IMD reports indicate the presence of a trough in easterlies over the interior parts of Karnataka, extending up to 1.5 km above the mean sea level. Consequently, coastal Karnataka and south interior Karnataka are expected to observe widespread rainfall from November 4 to 7.

On November 4, various areas in the city witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall, leading to disruptions in regular traffic flow and posing challenges for motorists navigating through waterlogged streets. Fortunately, the precipitation has brought some relief to residents by cooling down the prevailing temperatures.

Traffic police have reported flooding on the Marathahalli main road in Vinayak Nagar, resulting in a significant traffic snarl. Similar situations were observed at the Basavanagara junction, Panattur railway bridge, and DB Halli road towards Sakra hospital.

Additionally, certain sections of the Bannerghatta road were inundated, leading to sluggish movement of vehicles, prompting many to opt for alternative sub-arterial routes for commuting.
