On the eve of Republic Day, President Droupadi Murmu addressed the nation. In her speech, she stressed the democratic values that India stands for. She hailed India as the “mother of democracy”.

Noting that the Indian democratic system is much older than what democracies thought of to be in western nations, the President reasoned out why India is indeed the mother of democracy.

Amrit Kaal

The President also noted that India is in the early years of Amrit Kaal. Noting that this is the time for transformation, she said it is a golden opportunity to take the country to newer heights. For this purpose she urged every citizen to contribute their mite in achieving the goal.

Artificial Intelligence

Overlapping Amrit Kaal with AI, the President hoped that this period would see phenomenal advancements in this sector. Though AI has become a parto f our lives, there are a lot of concerns we need to address, she empahisized.

Youth Power

Extending her support to the youth of the country, she expressed happiness that they are exploring newer frontiers. The first citizen urged everyone to remove hurdles on their paths and unleash their potential.
