    RCB finally wins by 27 runs and qualifies for playoffs

In the 68th match of this season, the ultimate fight between RCB (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) and CSK (Chennai Super Kings) for either of the them to qualify for the playoffs, CSK won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Amidst the overwhelming crowd at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium, as the RCB openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis began to bat, the match was put off by the rain right when the batters gained momentum.

Thankfully, the match resumed with the rain receding quickly, Kohli and Plessis hit a 50-run partnership and RCB’s score was 70 in 9 overs. Immediately in the 10th over Kohli lost his wicket aftering hitting 47 runs of 29 balls. Plessis scores his half century and gets run out. Rajat Patidar and Cameron Green too batted well and propelled RCB’s score. The subsequent batters too rightly did what RCB needed – a challenging target for CSK. And so rightly, RCB lost five wickets, but put up a target of 219 runs for CSK to chase.

RCB’s bowling too did go well like their batting with CSK losing 2 wickets within the first three overs and CSK had a devastating start. CSK could score 43 runs in the first five overs.

Rachin Ravindra, who looked promising for CSK to ease their pressure, his wicket was luckily taken by a run out after he scored 61 runs. Even as Ravindra Jadeja and Mahendra Singh Dhoni built pressure on RCB bowlers and the last over was a nail biting one.
