In the 19th IPL match of this season that took place today between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, RR won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli who opened the innings looked promising and true to which their partnership could continue till 13 overs scoring 115 runs for no loss of wickets.

In the 14th over, Faf du Plessis was dismissed by Yuzvendra Chahal. In the 19th over Kohli got his amazing century, when the RCB’s score was 169 for 3. Kohli became the first centurion of the IPL 2024 season.

RCB put up a target of 184 runs for RR to chase with Kohli remaining unbeaten on 113.

Even as RR faced setback in the initial over bowled by Reece Topley when it lost a wicket and scored only 1 run in the first over.

Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler gave a magnificent standing for the RR as they steadfastly put up an amazing partnership score of 148 runs in 14 overs. Sanju Samson was dismissed in the 15th over breaking this partnership.

Jos Buttler who continued with his batting rigor sealed the match by hitting a six, leading to RR’s victory with a score of 189 in 19.1 overs while also securing his century.

So far, RR has been victorious in all of its four matches in IPL 2024 while RCB has lost three its four matches this season.
