Is Fawad Khan still in touch with ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ co-star Ranbir Kapoor?

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan shared screen space with Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor in the Karan Johar-directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which released in the year 2016. Fawad’s appearance in Bollywood films after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil however drastically reduced. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Fawad Khan talked about whether he’s still in touch with Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor who played the role of the male protagonist in ‘Ae Dil Hain Mushkil.’ “I'm in touch on and off. We speak on phone or chat sometimes, so I've been in touch and I have enjoyed a very good relationship with the Kapoor family and there is still a lot of love and respect with Karan Johar and Shakun Batra. So, there are friendships and then there are some Indian producer friends with whom I chat sometimes and we plan to meet somewhere, so on and off we talk. We keep in touch and we're still very cordial and still very friendly and there's no love lost,” Fawad said.

Fawad was also asked about whether he has seen the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directorial ‘Animal’ which stars Ranbir Kapoor in the role of the male protagonist. “I haven't seen it yet, but I want to. It's on Netflix now, but I haven't had the chance to watch it. Everyone has been recommending it,” Fawad remarked. Despite facing criticisms for a misogynistic portrayal of women, within the influential Bollywood circles, the fanfare and appreciation for the ‘Animal’ seems to be immense.
