Siddaramaiah hits back, wonders if he is an avatar

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has hit out against Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his remarks that he had been sent by God to fulfill a mission. 

He said, “For the sake of votes, Modi is dividing the nation on the lines of Hindu, Muslim. He says he has been sent by God. Is he an avatar? He is speaking such because he senses imminent defeat.”

In an interview earlier, Modi had said this about this indomitable energy. 

“When my mother was alive, I used to believe that I was born biologically. After she passed away, upon reflecting on all my experiences, I was convinced that God has sent me. This energy could not be from my biological body, but was bestowed upon me by God…whenever I do anything, I believe god is guiding me.”

Presently, the country is voting in a 7-phase election to decide the next government. As per different surveys, the BJP is set to score a hattrick with approximately 300 seats. However, on the other hand, the INDI Alliance, is hoping that the surveys are wrong and it rides to power, demolishing the victory bid of the saffron party. 

The results will be declared June 4th.
