Tamil Music Director GV Prakash announced splitting with his wife vocalist Saindhavi on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter) a few days back. However the reason for the same were not specified in the statement. This led to speculations, debates and even trolling. The extent of this discours forced GV Prakash to issue another statement. “It’s disheartening to see people debate about the union or separation of two people without proper understanding. It is unacceptable to pass comments on personal lives just because they’re celebrities. Has Tamil people’s honour come down so much that they don’t realise how their comments hurt people? The reason for our separation has been conveyed to our family members and friends. We decided after careful consideration. I’m writing this to convey that your comments, irrespective of the intentions, are hurtful. Please respect everyone’s emotions; thanks to everyone for their support,” GV Prakash’s latest statement mentioned.

G.V Prakash got married to Saindhavi in 2013. They were childhood friends. G.V Prakash requested for privacy from fans while announcing the split. “We kindly ask the Media, friends and fans to understand and respect our privacy during this deeply personal transition. Acknowledging that we are growing apart, we believe this is the best decision for each other. Your understanding and support means a lot during this difficult time,” GV Prakash remarked.
