NewsFirst Prime caught up with Manoj Bajpayee, the lead role in the movie Joram.
The movie is releasing this December 8.
He spoke to us on a potpourri of issues, ranging from the plot to the difficulty involved in handling a 3 ½ month-old baby.
On his role
This is about a man on the run with his 3 ½ month baby. He is running to save himself and the baby. He is running from Mumbai to a jungle in Jharkhand. It is a long journey. There is nobody who he can go to, to seek help. It is in that journey that his story reveals. We also had a few screenings in big film festivals. It has got a very nice review.
This role is completely different. This is what I look up to. It has to be a story I have never heard, never done or the world has never seen. This is my 98th movie. I work with such interesting directors who have given me unique stories.
On difficulties involving the baby
It was most difficult to shoot with a baby. My heart was in my mouth. I was too stressed out throughout the movie. You have to perform, and at the same time, take care of the baby. You can do only one thing at a time. Her mother was there on the sets. We had to take extra care.
