Former Karnataka cricketer K Hoysala, aged 34, suffered a fatal heart attack following a match in the ongoing Aegis South Zone tournament.

The incident unfolded at the RSI cricket ground in Bengaluru after Karnataka’s match against Tamil Nadu. Celebrating the team’s victory, Hoysala collapsed on the field due to severe chest pain.

Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to Bowring Hospital in Bengaluru, he tragically succumbed to the heart attack en route to the hospital. Hoysala, known for his role as a middle-order batter and bowler, had represented Karnataka in the under-25 category and also participated in the Karnataka Premier League.

Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dean of Bowring Hospital and Atal Bihari Medical College, confirmed that Hoysala was brought in dead and stated that Hoysala was brought in dead, mostly due to a heart attack. He also said that the postmortem had been completed and was awaiting the report. The details of this heartbreaking incident emerged on the evening of February 23, following the events that occurred on Thursday, February 22.
