In a remarkable feat, the sci-fi epic "Kalki 2898 AD" has become the highest-grossing film of legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan's illustrious careers.

The film’s producers, Vyjayanthi Films, announced that the global box office collections surpassed Rs 900 crore by its 11th day. This makes "Kalki 2898 AD" the second-biggest hit for lead star Prabhas, trailing only SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2," which grossed over Rs 1788 crore worldwide in 2017.

Despite experiencing a notable drop of over 75% in earnings on its second Monday, with a collection of Rs 10.4 crore, the film has stabilized with consistent single-digit earnings.

Initially, the majority of the film’s revenue came from its Telugu version, but the Hindi market has since gained momentum. On its 14th day, the Hindi version contributed Rs 4.75 crore, while the Telugu version added Rs 1.7 crore. Overall, the Hindi version has grossed Rs 229.05 crore, and the Telugu version stands at Rs 252.1 crore.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, "Kalki 2898 AD" is set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic world inspired by Hindu scriptures. The film features an ensemble cast, including Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani.
