    Stringent measures in place to uphold integrity of examination process

SSLC exams for the academic year 2023-24 is set to commence tomorrow (March 25), marking a significant milestone in the educational journey of thousands of students across the state. With meticulous planning and arrangements made by the education department, all systems are in place to ensure a smooth conduct of the examinations.

An impressive number of 2,750 centres are designated to host these exams across state. A staggering total of 8,69,968 students have registered for the SSLC exam this year, underscoring the importance of this exam in the academic calendar.

Out of the total enrollment, 8,10,368 students represent regular school attendees, while 18,225 students are categorized as private candidates. Additionally, 41,375 students are retaking the exam, demonstrating their determination to succeed. In terms of gender distribution, 4,41,910 boys and 4,28,058 girls are slated to participate in the examination, ensuring a balanced representation.

Moreover, this year witnesses a commendable enrollment of 5,424 differently abled students, highlighting the inclusive approach adopted by the education department towards providing equal opportunities for all learners.

Stringent measures have been implemented to uphold the integrity of the examination process. A mandatory ban on mobile phones has been imposed on examination officers, staff, and examinees within a 200-meter radius of the examination centres, designating the area as a restricted zone. Furthermore, comprehensive police security arrangements have been put in place at each examination centre to ensure a secure environment conducive to fair examination proceedings.
