This shocking affair transpired in the Srimal Rikhab Chand Sukhani High School in Raichur

The miscreant has been identified as a class 7 student named Purushotham

One of the students is reported to have sustained an injury to his thumb

In an incident reminiscent of a popular scene from the blockbuster Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal, a student took a gun to a classroom in the Raichur district of Karnataka. This shocking affair transpired in the Srimal Rikhab Chand Sukhani High School located in the Jyothi Colony of the Raichur city. The fight is believed to have taken place just outside the school premises. 

In a fight that ensued between students of class 7 and class 9 over a trivial reason, the air gun was whipped out. The miscreant has been identified as a class 7 student named Purushotham. Apart from a gun, Purushotham also brought a knife and other weapons to the school. These included a button knife, a metal claw and a spencer. One of the students is reported to have sustained an injury to his thumb. Children not belonging to the school are also said to have been involved in this fight. This incident has created an atmosphere of fear inside the school. 

Police officials of the Raichur West division reached the school upon learning about this development. Purushotham was taken to the police station. 

As the case involves a juvenile, the police were discreet in terms of what details get revealed to the public. Interestingly, no case has been registered so far with regard to this incident.
