The focus is to ease traffic congestions in the city

Metro to Bengaluru Airport to be reality by 2026

1334 electric buses to be added to BMTC fleet

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah presented his 15th budget and walked into the record books for presenting the most number of budgets.

And even as he presented the budget, all eyes were on what he would have for the capital city of Bengaluru. In this small package, let’s give you a sneak peek into what the garden city is getting.

  • By 2026, metro to KIAL will be completed
  • An underground tunnel at Hebbal junction to ease traffic
  • A skydeck running into a height of 250 metres
  • A world-class city under Brand Bengaluru project
  • The Focus this time will be on reducing traffic congestions
  • 1334 electric buses to be added to BMTC fleet
  • 70km business corridor to be built
  • Increased daily transaction time to 1 am
  • A sports city with modern and international standards in Bengaluru North.

Of all the announcements made for Bengaluru, the move to decongest it is indeed paramount. Bengaluru is one of the most choked cities in India. So reducing it is indeed welcome. At the same time, the announcement of metro completion for KIAL by 2026 should also bring a lot of respite to Bengalureans.
