    Siddaramaiah announced that 400 Indira Canteens will be revived

    Siddaramaiah alleged that the BJP government had stalled operations in Indira Canteens

    Siddaramaiah stated that Rs 430 crore has been allocated for the development of Chikkaballapur

Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah announced that 400 Indira Canteens will be revived across Karnataka during a speech in Chikkaballapur. Speaking in the Chintamani town, he declared that 188 new canteens will be opened across Bengaluru. Of these 188 canteens, 7 would be setup in the Chikkaballapur district. 

He also used this opportunity to attack the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He alleged that the BJP government had stalled operations in Indira Canteens after having come to power. He promised to overturn this. “The BJP alleges that the Congress government is destructive. The BJP is scared of Siddaramaiah. 25 Members of Parliament (MPs) were elected from BJP in the Lok Sabha election. No one had the courage to speak up against Modi,’ Siddaramaiah said. 

Siddaramaiah stated that Rs 430 crore has been allocated for the development of Chikkaballapur. He also credited Dr M.C Sudhakar for this positive news. Siddarmaih highlighted that Rs 58,000 crore were allocated for the 5 guarantee schemes of the government. He also claimed to have granted Rs 50 crore to every Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Karnataka.
