Event will be held in Chitradurga on 28th January

8 ministers including DCM DK Shivakumar will also take part

Leaders from other states will also partake in the event.

Various communities are conducting a demonstration for the show of strength ahead of the Lok Sabha election. As a competition to the Veerashaiva Lingayat convention in Davangere, the oppressed castes will make their presence felt in an event in Chitradurga on 28th January. An appeal for their rights to be recognised will be made.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who is considered to be a leader for the Ahinda Castes will inaugurate the event. The event will take place on the front side of the Madara Chennaiah Guru Peetha. 8 ministers including Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will also take part in the event.

Leaders representing oppressed castes from other states will also partake in the event. It is being anticipated that the leaders would apply pressure on the government to make the Kantharaj Committee Report public on this occasion.

The event is being seen in relation to statements by Lingayat leaders that with their will an alternative government can be set up. It is being reported that some Congress leaders were also opposed to the release of the Kantharaj Committee during the Veerashaiva Lingayat convention. This event would therefore convey the significance of the oppressed communities in Karnataka’s politics. The Ahinda formula was first implemented by CM Siddaramaiah in Chitradurga.
