The broad daylight murder of Neha Hiremath, the daughter of an Indian National Congress (INC) corporator Niranjan Hiremath in the premises of the BV Bhoomaraddi (BVB) college in the Hubballi city has sent shockwaves across Karnataka. Rejection of love appears to be the motive for the murder. Fayaaz belonging to the Belagavi district has been identified as the man who carried out the attack. The attack was captured on a CCTV camera. Neha was stabbed 11 times. Fayaaz has currently been apprehended by the police.
Neha’s parents are distraught upon having lost their child. “I am not in a state to be speaking. The perpetrator must be punished. I will ensure that the college is closed otherwise. Justice must be served to my daughter,” Neha’s mother said as she was reduced to tears.

Neha’ father insisted that under no circumstances should the perpetrator of the attack be granted bail. He demanded a death sentence for Fayaaz. “I am a councillor in the Hubballi corporation. What does it say about the state of affairs if such an incident happens to my daughter,” Niranjan emphasised.
Neha was an MCA (Master of Computer Application) student. Fayaaz was a (Bachelors of Computer Application) student.
