Former PM HD Deve Gowda tears into Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over his alleged ‘vindictive’ politics. 

The former PM questioned Siddaramaiah whether there is no other issue apart from Tipu Sultan. 

He also suggested Siddaramaiah to present a budget exclusively for Muslims and asserted that their association with the NDA would continue. 

Karnataka government goes after Hindu activist in Hubballi

The Karnataka government reopened a case against a Hindu activist Srikanth Poojary which took place 31 years ago. He was involved in a rioting case. 

While the opposition has latched on to the issue, the government says it is not vindictive and the opening of the cases only coincides with the Ram Mandir inauguration. 

The Datta Peeta Case

On January 5, summonses were issued to as many as 14 accused in the desecration of a tomb at the Baba Budan Giri in Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka. While the Opposition again trained its guns at the government, the latter was quick to point out that it has no role to play in the entire issue, with the judiciary taking a call on the issue. 

The Karnataka government is finding it hard to tackle the issue with Ram Mandir inauguration around the corner.
