Karnataka: KEA releases elaborate guidelines for PSI recruitment exam

    Separate sets of guidelines have been provided for the male and female candidates

    Candidates have been advised not to wear full arm shirts

    There is an exemption on mangalsutras and toe rings

The retest for the 545 Police Sub-Inspector vacancies will be held on January 23rd. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has released guidelines for the candidates. Precautionary steps are being taken to ensure that no unfair means are adopted in the examination. Separate sets of guidelines have been provided for the male and female candidates.

A strict dress code has to be followed by the candidates. Shirts and pants must not have zipped pockets or large buttons. Candidates cannot enter the exam hall wearing shoes. Sandals and chappals can be worn instead. Chains, earrings and bracelets have been banned. Hats and masks are also not allowed. Candidates have been advised not to wear full arm shirts. Half sleeve shirts have been recommended. 

High heeled sandal wear is not allowed for women. No metal chains are allowed either. There is an exemption on mangalsutras and toe rings. 

Electronic items including mobiles, pen drives, earphones, microphones, bluetooth connected devices and watches are not allowed inside the examination hall. Pencils, pens, geometry boxes and log books have been banned inside the examination hall. A prominent identifiable feature has to be mentioned on the examination hall ticket. The candidates cannot leave the hall before the final bell rings.
