In a horrifying incident in Karnataka's Tumkur district, a man was arrested for the brutal murder of his wife after she did not serve him dinner. The accused, Shivarama, decapitated and skinned his wife, Pushpalatha, in their home in Huliyurudurga town of Kunigal taluk on Monday night.

According to the police, the gruesome act was discovered when chilling visuals from the crime scene showed Pushpalatha's body lying in a pool of blood, with her veins and intestines exposed, and her severed head placed next to her. The couple’s eight-year-old son was asleep during the incident.

Shivarama, who works at a sawmill, had frequent arguments with his wife. The situation escalated on Monday night when Pushpalatha did not serve him dinner, leading to a quarrel over Shivarama’s employment. In a fit of rage, Shivarama stabbed his wife, decapitated her with a machete, and continued to mutilate her body until dawn. He then informed his landlord about the crime.
