In a harrowing turn of events in Kodagu, the severed head of 16-year-old Meena, who was brutally murdered on the day of her engagement, has been located. The accused, 34-year-old Prakash, has been apprehended by authorities for his involvement in the heinous crime.

Meena, a resident of Kumbargadige village, was found with her throat slit, her body gruesomely separated from her head with a sword. Prakash, who had been romantically involved with Meena for four months prior to the engagement, allegedly carried out the savage act shortly after their betrothal ceremony, shocking the community.

After committing the crime, Prakash attempted to flee, but was swiftly tracked down by law enforcement officers. Following intense interrogation, he led authorities to the spot where he had discarded Meena’s head, approximately 50 meters away from the scene of the murder.

During inquest, it is reported that Meena’s brother could not control himself at finding Meena’s severed head and started trembling in a vigourous fashion. This has been construed as divine possession by many. The details surrounding this aspect of the case are still under investigation.
