    Vikram Sinha faces an inquiry from the Forest Department

    His interrogation will take place in the Jarakabande Kaval Forest Camp

Member of Parliament (MP) from the Mysuru district representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Pratap Simha recently found himself embroiled in controversy surrounding his inadvertent role in the Parliament attack on December 13th. One of his family members is now at loggerheads with the legal apparatus of India. His brother Vikram Sinha has been arrested in connection to a case pertaining to illegal felling of trees in Hassan. He faces an inquiry from the Forest Department. He was arrested in Bengaluru on December 30th. 

The feeling is reported to have occurred in a 10-acre plot in the Hassan district. This has become a matter of political contestation between the Indian National Congress (INC) and the BJP. 

The officials of the Forest Department attempted to establish contact with him to ascertain his role in the incident but he was out of their reach. He was seen in the Pavithra Paradise in the Basaveshwara Nagar region of Bengaluru with his wife and apprehended by the officials from that location. The Central Crime Branch aided in his arrest. 

His interrogation will take place in the Jarakabande Kaval Forest Camp.  Minister of Forest, Ecology and Environment in Government of Karnataka, Eshwar Khandre reiterated that the law of the land would be equally applicable to all.
