A child playing on the fields in the Lachyan village in the Indi taluk of the Vijayapura district of Karnataka slipped and fell into a borewell. Prayers are flowing in from across Karnataka for 2-year-old Sathwik who has fallen into a 16-feet deep borewell. Officials of the Fire Department, Police Department and the Health Department have been involved in the rescue efforts throughout the night of April 3rd. Cameras have tracked the movement of the child’s feet inside the borewell.

The officials are ensuring adequate oxygen supply to ensure that the child does not undergo breathing problems. Mud has fallen onto the child during the rescue operation. The child’s movements have been captured on a camera. The family members of the child are in a state of heightened anxiety and are wishing for the child to be pulled out as early as possible.
