Local education authorities to implement these measures

SSLC exams have been scheduled from March 25 to April 06

The Karnataka Education Department is urgently addressing the issue of preventing cheating during the SSLC exam, implementing stringent measures to ensure integrity.

One significant measure involves the compulsory installation of cameras, with live webcasts, across all examination centers. This directive, outlined in a recent notice from the Department of School Education and Literacy, signifies a departure from previous guidelines issued three months ago.

Previously, the focus was primarily on installing CCTV cameras outside examination centers and within the precinct center head’s room. However, the updated guidelines now mandate the installation of cameras in every room of all 2700+ exam centers, coupled with instructions for live webcasting.

The responsibility for ensuring the thorough implementation of these measures rests with local education authorities, who are tasked with verifying compliance. Any lapses in implementation will be attributed to the respective field education officer.

Moreover, the SSLC exam will be conducted in three phases, commencing from Monday, the exams have been scheduled from March 25 to April 06.

This phased approach aims to streamline the examination process while maintaining the highest standards of security and fairness.

By implementing these measures, the Education Department aims to uphold the integrity of the examination and safeguard against cheating, ensuring a fair and transparent evaluation process for all SSLC candidates.
