Following the post’s circulation, a group of Muslim youth gathered outside Udayagiri Police Station, demanding the immediate arrest of the culprit. The situation grew tense as arguments broke out between protestors and the police. In response to the escalating unrest, authorities deployed additional forces and resorted to mild lathi charge and tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Mysuru police later identified and arrested the accused, Suresh, from the Kalyanagiri area. Acting on their own initiative, the police registered an FIR against him and shared details, including his photo and case information, on their official social media platforms.

Meanwhile, security in Udayagiri was tightened to prevent further disturbances. Police officials urged residents to maintain peace and refrain from spreading misinformation. Senior officers assured the public that strict action would be taken against any attempts to incite communal disharmony.

The incident highlights the growing concerns over hate speech on social media and its impact on communal harmony in the region. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.
