The IMD has forecast heavy rain across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and interior Karnataka, with a yellow alert issued for these areas. The rain, expected to be accompanied by winds of 40 to 50 kmph, is set to impact agricultural activities. The IMD has advised farmers and residents to plan accordingly.

Last week, South Karnataka experienced significant rainfall, with Hosadurga taluk in Chitradurga recording 195 millimeters. Other districts such as Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Tumkur, Kolar, and Bangalore South also witnessed heavy downpours.

The development of the cyclone has sparked concerns about heavy rainfall, particularly in Karnataka's interior regions. Authorities are advising residents to stay vigilant and follow the latest weather updates to ensure their safety.
