Hassanamba temple doors open for 13-day darshan

The revered Hassanamba Temple has officially opened its doors for a 13-day period of darshan, beginning today. The temple's sanctum was opened briefly between 12:00 and 12:30 PM, with the deity scheduled to offer darshan to devotees starting tomorrow.

Before the temple doors were opened, a team of five priests conducted rituals, bringing the sacred ornaments for the goddess. The ceremonial opening was marked by cutting a banana tree by the royal descendants.

Darshan from October 10 to 22

Devotees will have the opportunity for darshan from October 10 to 22, with the temple remaining closed for darshan on October 23. Several religious ceremonies are underway, performed by a dedicated team of priests in the presence of goddess Hassanamba.

Notable figures, including Nirmalanandanath Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri, Hassan in-charge Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, and district officials, were present at the event.

The doors of the sanctum sanctorum were opened with grand puja rituals, marking the annual event when goddess Hassanamba grants darshan to her devotees. Thousands of devotees eagerly await the divine sight, as this occasion occurs only once a year.

This spiritual event is expected to draw lakhs of devotees from across the region.
