KAS aspirants and student organisations raise serious doubts over the selection process for 384 posts, citing suspicious patterns in results and demanding an independent investigation.
A major controversy has erupted over the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) main examination results, with several aspirants and student organisations alleging serious irregularities in the selection process. The issue has now reached the Governor’s office, raising fresh pressure on the state government.
Candidates preparing for the KAS (Karnataka Administrative Service) examination, along with student groups, have formally submitted a complaint to the Governor alleging corruption in the recruitment process. The complaint relates to the main examination conducted to fill 384 posts, where the results have triggered widespread suspicion among aspirants.
According to the complainants, there are several unusual patterns in the results that require a thorough investigation. One of the major concerns raised is related to the selection of fifteen candidates who reportedly wrote the examination in the same room. Aspirants have questioned how such a large number of candidates from a single examination room could all secure selection.

Another point of suspicion revolves around the order of selection. Candidates have raised doubts over how individuals appear to have cleared the exam in the exact order of their serial numbers, which they claim raises questions about the fairness of the evaluation process.
Further concerns have been raised about the selection of multiple members from the same family. According to the complaint, in some cases two or three members of the same family have been selected, which has added to the doubts about the transparency of the recruitment process.
Aspirants have also questioned how candidates who had previously failed in examinations conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) were able to secure high ranks in the KPSC examination. They say this discrepancy needs to be examined carefully.
Highlighting all these concerns, KAS aspirants and student organisations have officially submitted a complaint at the Governor’s office, requesting intervention in the matter.

The complainants have also demanded a CBI investigation into the alleged irregularities in the examination and selection process, stating that only an independent probe can ensure transparency and restore confidence among candidates.
Meanwhile, the issue is beginning to create fresh pressure for the government, as the allegations continue to gain attention among aspirants and student groups across the state.
The aspirants have stated that they are planning to personally meet the Governor soon to present their concerns in detail and seek further action on the matter.
