  • Cuts apply to off-season travel till March
  • Ambari, AC and non-AC services included

Reduced ticket prices on Ambari, Dream Class, AC and non-AC services come into effect from Monday, offering relief to passengers travelling between Mangaluru, Udupi, Kundapur and Bengaluru.

In a move aimed at increasing passenger footfall during the travel off-season, the Mangaluru division of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has reduced fares on its premium and non-AC bus services operating between coastal Karnataka and Bengaluru. The revised fares have come into effect from Monday.

The fare reduction applies to the January to March off-season, a period when travel demand typically dips. KSRTC officials said premium service fares are usually hiked by 10–15% during peak travel months, which include April to June and October to December, while regular fares are maintained during the off-season. Officials added that weekend fares may still see a partial increase.

Passengers opting for multi-axle AC sitting coaches will now pay ₹1,310, ₹1,250 and ₹1,150 respectively on the Kundapur, Udupi and Mangaluru routes to Bengaluru. For the older multi-axle sitting coaches, fares have been lowered to ₹1,110, ₹1,060 and ₹1,000.
