The President of India will attend the 60th anniversary event of the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing in Mysuru, marking her second visit to the heritage city.
Mysuru is preparing for a landmark occasion as President of India Droupadi Murmu will visit the city on September 1 to attend the diamond jubilee celebrations of the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) at Manasagangotri.

Confirming the development, AIISH Director M. Pushpavathi said that the institute has officially received intimation about the President’s participation in the event, which commemorates six decades of pioneering work in speech and hearing sciences.
This marks President Murmu’s second trip to Mysuru. In her earlier visit in September 2022, she inaugurated the iconic Nada Habba Dasara festivities. On this occasion, she will fly from Bengaluru to Mysuru in a special aircraft and land directly at Mysuru Airport.

To ensure the visit proceeds without hiccups, Deputy Commissioner G. Lakshmikanth Reddy chaired a preliminary meeting with senior officials. He instructed the administration and police to maintain strict security measures and seamless coordination throughout the President’s stay.
