The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board has announced the full schedule and arrangements for the SSLC examinations, which will begin on March 18 across the state. The exams will continue until April 2, and the results are scheduled to be declared on May 8, according to officials.

This year, the Education Department has put in place extensive preparations to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the examinations. More than 8.5 lakh students are expected to appear for the SSLC exams, making it one of the largest academic exercises in the state.

The examination will start with First Language papers on March 18 and conclude with the Social Science paper on April 2. Officials have stated that question paper distribution, invigilation, and supervision mechanisms have been strengthened to prevent any form of malpractice.

To curb examination-related irregularities, CCTV cameras have been made mandatory at all examination centres. Authorities have confirmed that strict monitoring will be carried out throughout the exam period, with special teams keeping a close watch to prevent cheating or other violations.

Once the exams conclude, the evaluation process will begin immediately in April, ensuring that answer scripts are assessed without delay. This early start to valuation is aimed at releasing results on time, giving students clarity about their academic future.

The department has also issued a clear advisory to students regarding prohibited items. Mobile phones, smartwatches, and all electronic gadgets are strictly banned inside examination centres. Students found carrying such items may face disciplinary action, officials warned.
