Veteran actress Kavita Chaudhary (67) passed away due to a cardiac arrest. She had gained popularity as she played the role of an IPS officer Kalyani Singh in the serial Udaan.
She died at the Parvati Devi Hospital in Amritsar. Family members said that the last rites of the actress will be performed later today.
Kavita had acted in shows like Your Honour and IPS Diaries. During the 1980s and 1990s, she had appeared on television as part of several TV shows.
The shows were telecast from 1989 to 1991. It was later telecast during Covid-19 as well. As the news of actress Kavita’s death came to light, many dignitaries expressed their condolences.
