Apropos Rameshwaram cafe blasts in Bengaluru, NewsFirst Prime learns that terror suspects have used this model of placing an explosive in a bag for the first time.

Generally, such explosives are placed in tiffin boxes and cookers and timed. In case, the officers add, the same modus operandi of placing in such containers had been followed, the blasts would have been of greater intensity, thereby leading to a greater impact. 

The police have scoured the area, but they haven’t found any remnants related to such solid containers. 

Bomb blasts well-planned

Investigations have also thrown light at the fact that a time gap of 1 ½ hours was deliberately set in order to facilitate the suspect to go beyond the boundaries of Bengaluru. 

The blasts

More than 10 people suffered injuries as two blasts, at a time interval of 10 seconds, ripped Rameshwaram cafe last Friday. At that point in time, around 40 people were in the cafe, having lunch. 

Two CCTV footage captured the blasts, which created chaos and havoc in the region. 

Chief Minister CM Siddaramaiah, his deputy DK Shivakumar paid a visit to the victims. The government will bear all the expenses.
