    KSRTC to introduce more buses to Mangaluru

    Move in the wake of trains getting cancelled

    There is additional rush owing to festivals

In response to the cancellation of train services on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru route starting December 14, the KSRTC Mangalore division is well-equipped to manage the expected increase in demand. 

Seats are filling up rapidly as the festival season is about to start. In preparation for an expected rise in demand on December 22 for travel from Bengaluru to Mangalore, the division is proactively arranging to add extra buses during this timeframe to meet the heightened passenger traffic.

Trains connecting Bangalore, Mysore, and Mangalore, along with various others, stand canceled by the South Western Railway, Mysore division, on different dates spanning from December 14 to December 22. This cancellation is attributed to the planned yard remodeling at the Hassan railway junction station. 

Their pairing services- Train nos. 16512 and 16596- are canceled from December 17 to 21. Train no. 16575 Yesvantpur-Mangalore junction is canceled on December 14, 17, 19, and 21. The pairing train(16576) was canceled on December 15, 18, 20, 22. Train no. 16516 Karwar-Yesvantpur is canceled on December 14, 16, 19, 21 and 23. Train no. 16539/16540 Yesvantpur-Mangalore junction is canceled on December 16 and 17 respectively.
