Managing Director of KSTDC, G. Jagadeesha, reportedly stated, “We have already cancelled the bookings we had received for those days and initiated a refund. We want people to vote in larger numbers, and some of our employees would also have to travel to different places to vote on those days. Hence, we will be closing the properties.”

This move follows a similar action taken during the State Assembly elections last year when KSTDC closed all its properties on election day.

The decision aims to encourage voter turnout and facilitate the participation of KSTDC employees in the electoral process. By closing these popular tourist destinations, KSTDC underscores the importance of civic engagement and supports democratic practices.
