‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ that is set to release on October 27th in India was initially planned as a police procedural set in Osage Nation in the 1920s from the perspective of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)  agents. Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio was cast as an FBI agent in the film.

“Myself and Eric Roth talked about telling the story from the point of view of the bureau agents coming in to investigate. After two years of working on the script, Leo came to me and asked, ‘Where is the heart of this story?’ I had meetings and dinners with the Osage, and I thought, ‘Well, there’s the story.’ The real story, we felt, was not necessarily coming from the outside, with the bureau, but rather from the inside, from Oklahoma.”  the Director of the film, Scorsese said in a recent interview with The Irish Times.

Paramount Pictures had backed out of the project after this change. The film was then financed by Apple TV with Paramount Pictures acting as a theatrical distribution partner. The current plot of the film would focus on the marriage of a World War-1 veteran played by Leonardo DiCaprio whose greedy uncle pulls up into his plot of stealing land from natives in Osage.
