Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Indian National Congress (INC) from Srinrangapatna constituency Ramesha Bandisiddegowda has taunted Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)) leader Kumaraswamy over his visit to the hospital for supposed heart related ailments. “Just when the election is nearing, he has his heart treated in 3 days and is seen enthusiastically travelling across Karnataka the very next day. I do not understand how this is possible,” Ramesha stated. 

Ramesha spoke in the Mandya constituency wherein the JD(S) is in a head-to-head contest with the INC. Star Chandru would be the candidate from INC whereas former Chief Minister Kumaraswamy will represent the JD(S).  “Please do not believe anybody who approaches you by saying I am faced with X problem or Y problem. Remember what they did while being in power,” Ramesha said. 

Ramesha pointed out to the Minister of Agriculture of Karnataka Chaluvaraya Swamy facing similar complications in cardiovascular health had to be under bedrest for 1 month. Ramesha pointed to the services made available to the people through the government which he cautioned should not face interference by intermediaries. Ramesha endorsed the candidature of Star Chandru. He requested voters to help him achieve a victory by a margin of 50,000 votes.
