Pratap Simha supporters have blamed the state leadership

The high command apparently did not reveal reasons for their decision

RSS reportedly played a key role in roping in Yaduveer

Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar of the Mysuru royalty would be contesting from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Mysuru. 2-time Member of Parliament (MP) Pratap Simha missed out on the ticket. Pratap Simha supporters have blamed the state leadership for the turn of events. However reports have cast a different angle to this affair.

It is being speculated that the central leadership of the BJP blacklisted Pratap Simha. Senior members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are said to have facilitated Yaduveer’s entry into politics. Both these decisions were supposedly not taken by the BJP Karnataka unit. The question regarding why this occurred has emerged.

There are however no straightforward answers to this question. The high command apparently did not reveal reasons for their decision. This discussion regarding this possibly took place 7 months ago when the state leadership put forward Pratap’s name as per sources. The High Command responded with “Next”, sources claim. This reportedly left the state leadership shell shocked.

A search for an alternative option is said to have taken place subsequently. The high command succeeded in its efforts to rope in Yaduveer. RSS reportedly played a key role in this. Contact is said to have been established via Harshavardhan Singh who is a relative of Yaduveer’s wife Thrishika. Queen Pramoda Devi was also reportedly influenced by the RSS leaders.
