Hema Malini posted photos of her photoshoot on X
They loved having me in their midst and insisted I pose: Hema
Hema won by a margin of 290,023 votes in 2019
The campaigning for the 2024 Lok Sabha Election is underway. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Mathura Hema Malini has also entered the field. It must be said that Hema Mailini entered the field in the literal sense of the term as well. Hema Malini posted photos of her photoshoot in a farm on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter). “Today I went into the farms to interact with the farmers who I have been meeting regularly these 10 years. They loved having me in their midst and insisted I pose with them which I did,” she mentioned in her post.

This was however subject to criticism and ridicule by supporters of opposition parties. “Harvesting already harvested crops?? When on one side today the women don’t send such photographs for their marriage proposals and even that is chosen over social media, at the other side we have our dear MP’s going backwards, and trying out tactics that worked in late 1900’s (sic),” a user remarked.
Hema Malini was involved in a similar photoshoot in the previous election. She had won by a margin of 290,023 votes against her closest competitor from the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Kunwar Narendra Singh.
