Lok Sabha Election 2024: Rahul Gandhi to campaign in Mandya on April 17th; crowd of 1 lakh expected for his speech

In each election, the battle in Mandya is bound to be high voltage. This time too, the fact that the former Chief Minister Kumaraswamy would be contesting from the seat has drawn everyone’s attention to it. Kumaraswamy is the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate. He would be representing the Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S))  in the election.  

Amidst the tight contest, certain star campaigners such as Indian National Congress (INC) leader Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Siddaramaah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar are set to visit the region.

Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to arrive in Mandya on April 17th. An event will be organised in the Mandya University. A crowd of 1 lakh is anticipated to attend the event. 

The Congress has attached significance to the Mandya seat. Several rounds of campaigning have already occurred. The groundwork being done suggests that the INC is in a position to give Kumaraswamy a run for his money. Speculations that upon victory, H.D Kumaraswamy would be made the Minister of Agriculture in the Central Government are making rounds. However, the INC candidate from Mandya Venkatramane Gowda also referred to Star Chandru, is confident of his victory.
