Vinay Kumar missed out on the INC ticket from the Davanagere

Vinay has requested INC to reconsider their choice to provide ticket to Prabha Mallikarjun

Surveys are either sham or not considered in the end while giving tickets: Vinay

Founder of InsightsIAS Vinay Kumar who missed out on the Indian National Congress (INC) ticket from the Davanagere constituency had remarked that he merely wanted to prove that being born in an ordinary family is nobody’s fault. He proposed the caucus system for selection of candidates by political parties in India. “There is this big loophole in our democracy which is capitalised and misused by powerful politicians with money and muscle power. The loophole is that the common man doesn’t have any say or role to play in choosing/selecting the right candidate to vote for in general elections. A political party chooses candidates based on their own political calculations or circumstances or preferences or intelligence. Nowadays political parties conduct surveys- but these surveys are either sham or not considered in the end while giving tickets. If all political parties bring in a caucus kind of system where they give common man the power to choose candidates of their choice, new leaders with good organisational skills, grassroots connections and service mindset will get a chance to represent people,” Vinay Kumar stated on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

Vinay has requested the INC to reconsider the choice of providing the ticket to Prabha Mallikarjun due to the resentment among people against multiple people from one family getting elected. He expressed that the BJP would be consolidating the seat in the present scenario.
