    Eshwarappa was firm about contesting as an independent candidate

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka K.S Eshwarappa is livid over his son not receiving a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket from the Haveri constituency for the 2024 Lok Sabha Election. He has announced that he would contest an independent candidate from the Shivamogga constituency wherein Former Chief Minister B.S Yediyurappas’s son B.Y Raghavendra would be contesting from the BJP.  A team from the BJP led by Former Cabinet Minister in the Government of Karnataka Araga Jnanendra paid a visit to Eshwarappa at his residence. The outcome of the meeting was however not satisfactory. 

Araga Jnanadra was accompanied by the Member of the Karnataka Legislative Council N. Ravikumar during his visit to the Jayalakhmi Nivas located in the Malleshwara Nagar in Shivamogga. The meeting lasted for 45 minutes. There was however no productive outcome from this meeting. Eshwarappa was firm about contesting as an independent candidate. The team while remaining in low spirits. Eshwarappa is reported to have conveyed that injustice has occurred on several occasions.
